On November 25th, the State Administration for Market Regulation held a special press conference on food safety titled "Conducting Full Chain Sampling and Strengthening Full Chain Supervision". The reporter learned from the meeting that under the overall coordination of the State Council Food Safety Office, various departments work together to fully utilize the "radar" role of food safety sampling and accurately identify food safety risks. Since the beginning of this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation has reported 110 batches of unqualified edible agricultural products to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and coordinated efforts to carry out source control; Report to the General Administration of Customs the information of 55 batches of declared imported unqualified food to help strengthen entry control. In March of this year, the General Office of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Supervision of the Whole Food Safety Chain", making specific arrangements for related work. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs conducts routine monitoring of edible agricultural products, the General Administration of Customs conducts entry sampling monitoring of imported food into China, and the State Administration for Market Regulation conducts sampling monitoring of various types of food sold in the domestic market. We will continuously increase sampling efforts for key products such as bulk food, edible agricultural products, campus cafeteria food, and online food that have high consumption and public attention. Since the beginning of this year, more than 60000 batches of unqualified food have been detected and checked and disposed of. In response to the prominent risks and issues identified during random inspections, the State Administration for Market Regulation has collaborated with relevant departments to carry out targeted rectification and establish a law enforcement linkage mechanism. Since the beginning of this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs have jointly launched a special rectification campaign, targeting edible agricultural products with a high rate of non-compliance, and working together from the production and market sides to strengthen governance; Jointly carry out a comprehensive governance action on the abuse of food additives with six departments, deploy special sampling to improve the targeted governance; Establish a cross departmental law enforcement linkage mechanism, dig deep into the source and trace the origins of illegal cases discovered during random inspections, and strengthen the connection between execution and enforcement.
